Company Overview:
Vikas Logistic Limited is an emerging logistics and software company based in the UK, currently operating as a contractor within Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner (DSP) network. Alongside last-mile delivery services, we are developing a proprietary software platform to modernise logistics operations using AI, automation, and predictive analytics.
As a startup in a high-growth phase, we are seeking a Finance Officer to help establish and maintain robust financial controls and support the scaling of both our logistics and digital technology operations.
Role Overview:
The Finance Officer will oversee the company’s financial processes, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning. This role is critical to supporting sustainable growth, maintaining sponsor compliance, and preparing the company for audits and funding rounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow forecasts
Ensure timely payroll processing and statutory tax compliance (PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax)
Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis
Handle invoicing and payments for subcontractors and suppliers
Liaise with HMRC, banks, accountants, and regulatory bodies
Monitor funding needs and support grant/funding applications if applicable
Support sponsor licence compliance (e.g. salary evidence, payslips, record keeping)
Assist with annual audits and filings with Companies House
Required Qualifications & Skills:
AAT Level 5, ACCA part-qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
Minimum 2 years’ experience in SME finance (preferably logistics, tech, or service sector)
Strong knowledge of UK tax, payroll, and financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
Experience working with startups or early-stage companies
Understanding of sponsor licence compliance or previous experience in a sponsor company
Interest or background in logistics, SaaS, or digital operations
